Dendrobates auratus "Pena Blanca"

Line: Harrington Import.
F2 Parents.
Dendrobates auratus "Pena Blanca" start as a dull brown and blue and turn into white and black patterned with metallic bronzing. Some might even suggest a purple tinge. Perfect for beginners in terms of care, but it tends to be a shy frog. They will get bolder with age and exposure. They have a quiet call. Females are larger measuring in at approximately 1.5" and males are approximately 1.25" at maturity.
They do well in groups as long as they have a large enough enclosure that is well designed to suit their needs. You might witness some wrestling, but as long as the frogs are heathy, this should not be an issue. We recommend at least 10 gallons of tank per frog.
Natural location: Originate from Guatemala.
