Phyllobates terribilis "Orange Blackfoot"

Line: Tesoros de Columbia Import.

Unknown filial generation.

Phyllobates terribilis "Orange Blackfoot" have an orange base color with varying amounts of black on their feet and body. They are a very bold frog with a loud call. Given their bold personality and color, they can always be found in the tank. Adult females are larger, measuring approximately 2" and males tend to be smaller, averaging about 1.75" at maturity.

They do well in groups as long as they have a large enough enclosure that is well designed to suit their needs. You might witness some wrestling, but as long as the frogs are heathy, this should not be an issue regarding the frogs' health. It is recommended that no more than 2 go into a 10 gallon tank, 3 in a 20 gallon tank, and 4-5 in a 40 gallon tank.

Natural location: Found in a potentially wide territory in Columbia in the foothills of the Andes.
