Dendrobates tinctorius "True Sipaliwini"

Line: Stuart.
F2 parents.
Dendrobates tinctorius "True Sipaliwini" made up of yellow, blue, and black. Perfect for beginners given their heartiness, these bold frogs have a quiet call. This frog is on the larger side with females measuring in at approximately 2.25" and males running a bit smaller averaging about 1.75" at maturity.
These frogs should only be housed in groups as juveniles to sub adults. As they reach adults, around 10-12 months, they should be paired off. The females tend to be female to female aggressive. It is possible to house two males with one female. We recommend at least 10 gallons of tank per frog.
Natural location: Found in the forests of the Sipaliwini Savanna, which is located in southern Suriname and adjacent to Brazil.
